Role Summary: Freelance Video Editor
About the Role
- Hey! I’m looking for a freelance video editor to help me make long-form videos for my YouTube channel The Coding Sloth.
- The goal? Make programming content actually fun to watch.
🛠️ What You'll Be Doing
- Edit long-form videos (around 8–20 minutes).
- Add motion graphics, animations, screen recordings, and memes to support the voiceover.
- Find your own clips (B-roll, memes, etc.) when needed.
- Collaborate with me asynchronously. I’ll send over the voiceover and necessary footage.
✅ What I’m Looking For
- Someone who can match my style and in a nutshell **create a combination of fireship and **how money works type of videos.
- A strong portfolio with long-form edits (ideally faceless, documentary, fast, and informative).
- A good sense of pacing, rhythm, high retention edits and a captivating flow.
- Experience using Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.
- An understanding of tech or programming (or willingness to learn.)
- Create videos of equal or better quality to my videos.
- Be able to meet deadlines and keeps a strong line of communication.
- Strong work ethic and great problem solving skills to overcome speed bumps in the production and to reverse engineer clean motion graphics and editing techniques from leading channels.
